Information We Collect

BrewMapApp collects information you provide directly when you create an account or add spots. This includes your name, email address, and any spot data (names, addresses, ratings, notes) you choose to save.

We also collect location data when you grant permission, solely to show nearby spots and provide relevant results. Location data is never stored on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the BrewMapApp service
• To authenticate your account and keep your data secure
• To enable sharing features when you explicitly create share links
• To send transactional emails (e.g. password reset) via Clerk

Data Storage & Third Parties

• Your spot data is stored in a third party database managed by Convex.
• Your personal identifying information is stored with Clerk
• We use PostHog to collect anonymised usage analytics and performance metrics. PostHog may record session interactions and page events. Form inputs are masked and never sent to PostHog. You can learn more at posthog.com/privacy.
• We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic and how visitors find the app. Google may set cookies and process usage data on our behalf. You can learn more at policies.google.com/privacy.
